Research Facilities.

    Attached to the Museum is our Research area where we have resources for general genealogy research as well as a local studies collection which includes files, archives and photographs.
    Family research will be conducted on behalf of visitors or interested correspondents. A fee ranging from $25 to $40 is charged for each specific piece of research.

    The Research Officer will conduct the search of our records and will provide a written report of any findings. Please address any written enquiries as follows:

    Research room and Genealogy Opening Hours:

    10am to 2pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
    All Public Holidays Excepted

    The Research Library is closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas New Year period.

    Casual use in person of our resources is charged at $10 a day.

    We are also an affiliate library of the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Records previously available on microfilm which have now been digitised are available for viewing in the Library.

    Resources

    Two Microfilm Microfiche Readers and three computers
    are available for use in the Research Room, along with an extensive library of books and pamphlets.

    Local Families

    Published histories of local families are housed in the Research Room, along with files containing research on local families.

    The Society has also produced a Pioneer Index of the district inhabitants to 1900 entitled the Moruya Pioneers.
    It has now been updated and is available on cd.
